Floral Birthday Cards Using Spellbinders January Clubs
Hello crafty friends!
Today I am sharing a few cards that I made using two of the Spellbinders clubs; the large die of the month and the 2D embossing folder. I absolutely LOVE this months die set!! I’m looking towards to making many more cards with it. I hope these cards inspire you to create this weekend!
Cards One, Two, Three, and Four:
For these four cards I used a few different colors but I closely followed the same layout on each. I die cut all the desired flowers and assembled them. The grey background was cut to 3 5/8 x 8 5/8. I then embossed it using the embossing folder. I played around with the arrangement of the flowers and the “happy birthday” sentiment until I was happy, then I glued everything down. For the scalloped boarder, I used the gold metallic paper and then I placed foam tape on the back so that there was a bit of dimension. I then adhered it to the rest of the card.
Card Five:
For the last card I wanted to make use of the remaining scraps that were laying on my desk. For the background created 1/4inch strips of all the left over colored paper. I then took a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock, placed some double sided adhesive on it and then removed the backing. I then placed the strips down diagonally. Once that was complete I embossed the panel using my embossing folder. I then decorated the card using the left over flowers and sentiments that were laying on my desk. (In a future post I will be sharing a few cards that I made using the “enjoy” die.)
