Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes!)

 

Hello there and welcome to my blog. I am happy to join Altenew for the 2024 Celebrating Parents Card Drive. The goal of the drive is to send cards to the elderly who reside in nursing homes or shelters and let them know they’re not forgotten. For my card I created a bright feminine floral card. I used the Pristine Peonies stamp, die and stencil set. The floral was stamped and embossed using the Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I only used three colors on the floral. While stenciling, I applied less ink and less pressure for the lighter version of the color and more ink and heavier pressure on the darker color. I created splatters on the white card base with the Rubellite and Midnight Violet Watercolor Brush Markers before adding the brushed gold Stacked Diamonds. The Big Hugs sentiment comes from the Floral Henna stamp set. This was also embossed using Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
